Five Great Reasons to Buy a New Home
When you’ve reached the point in your life to purchase a home, there are many decisions yet to make. How much to spend? Where do I want to live – city, country or suburbs? Attached home or single-family home? Big or small yard? Do I have a commuting time max? Another big question is “Do I want a new build home or an older home.” Of course, we’re partial to new homes, and we have some good reasons why to share with you.
New friends. All the people you introduce yourself to on your new street are as excited as you to build a new community, and you and your family get to be part of it! Your kids will meet new friends almost immediately and you will have lots in common already and stories to share with everyone around you.
Open floor plans. Most new homes today are built with a different lifestyle in mind than those built in past years. Today’s homes feature more open style plans that welcome light and bright spaces all while embracing togetherness with family and entertaining with friends.
Extra amenities. Because many new homes are planned around a master-planned community lifestyle, don’t be surprised if extra options include pocket parks, swimming pools, nearby hiking trails and fitness facilities.
Customization. Don’t like granite countertops? No problem…opt for another surface instead. If you’re partial to carpeting, you can request that as well, and all your personal choices will be completed before you move in. In reality, you can customize your home down to the tiniest design detail prior to the move-in date.
Green appliances. If your new home offers appliance packages, you can be sure you’re likely getting the most energy efficient ones on the market. In an older home, you may either have to settle for the ones installed years past or wait to upgrade after you move which can be inconvenient and a little pricey.
