Hippity Hoppity San Diego Easter Activities

Throughout Easter weekend, San Diego becomes one giant and colorful egg hunt with Easter celebrations galore! From crafts to face painting to pictures with the Easter Bunny and traditional egg hunts, kids will have the best time ever! All the events listed are BYOB – bring your own basket, and Some may require pre-registering, so be sure to visit each website in advance.

Saturday, April 16

A free Spring Scavenger Hunt Egg-Stravaganza will be hosted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All ages are invited to the Nobel Recreation Center for a scavenger hunt, games, crafts and a photo booth along with photo opps with the Easter Bunny.

At the Mountain View Community Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. there will be a jump house, egg hunt, games and crafts. This event is free.

The City of Carlsbad Parks & Recreation Department is throwing and EGGStravaganza Spring Festival boasting Carlsbad’s largest egg hunt. Tickets are required but can be purchased in advance at various locations or on the day of the event. Activities include face painting, cookie decorating, a fun zone and more!

Sunday, April 17

On Easter morning there will be a free Spring Egg Hunt at Willie Henderson Sports Complex with a giant slide, face painters, arts & crafts and more from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Other more elaborate Easter activities and brunches are being held at the San Diego Zoo and the Hotel Del.
