If you don’t feel like packing a lunch, there are multiple eateries where you can get takeout. Street parking is available.

At Centennial Park on Coronado Island, you’ll be graced with fabulous downtown views as you look out over the harbor back towards the city. For an extra special adventure, cross using the ferry from Broadway Pier or the San Diego Convention Center. There are lots of restaurants in the area as well to choose from for take out.

If munching in a cultural icon is more your speed, head straight to Balboa Park. Boasting 1,200 lush acres, a lily pond, exquisite gardens, grassy lawns and multiple picnic spot choices, it’s the perfect place for family gatherings and romantic date nights.
