Cooler evenings, earlier sunsets and that orange pumpkin glow coming from farmers’ fields all signal the arrival of autumn! And it’s also one of the best times of the year for family photo opps. Here’s a fun list of some of this year’s pumpkin patches in and around San Diego, Murrieta and Temecula. They always make for a great family fall outing. Check ahead for special visiting instructions and times.
Temecula
Peltzer Pumpkin Farm: Located at 39925 Calle Contento, this is the 14th harvest season in Temecula for this family-owned farm. Pick out your perfect pumpkin and also enjoy loads of other activities like pony rides, a petting farm and more.
Murrieta
Stu Miller’s Pumpkin Patch: Pumpkins, games, inflatables and bungee jumps are just some of the fun you’ll have at this pumpkin patch. It’s located at 38244 Hot Springs Road. You can choose your pumpkin from hand-selected pumpkins from a Southern California farm in Ventura.
San Diego
Pumpkin Station: There are various locations scattered throughout San Diego County including Rancho Bernardo, Del Mar, Mission Valley, National City and Bonita. While each one has its own personality, they all offer a great selection of fresh pumpkins, free admission and lots of kid adventures. At the Rancho Bernardo and Bonita locations, you’ll actually get to see the farms!
Oma’s Pumpkin Patch: Oma’s family farm was founded in 1960 by a Dutch immigrant couple and has remained a family run business ever since. During the fall, they dedicate their farm to all things pumpkin including wagon rides, a pick your own pumpkin patch and playtime. This year, tickets must be purchased online in advance.
