Michael Sabourin is a 37-year veteran of the real estate industry with a broad-based international, national and local marketing background. A licensed real estate broker since 1976, he has worked in the residential, commercial and retail spheres of the real estate profession throughout his career and now oversees day-to-day operations at Cornerstone Communities.
Sabourin is deeply involved in forward planning, land acquisition and development, working closely with the entire management team on product design, pricing and marketing of the new homes and communities. In addition, he is responsible for internal systems, training, market research and merchandise presentations in model homes. His role also includes oversight of in-house sales staff and field operations, as well as builder warranty programs.
Prior to joining Cornerstone Communities, he brokered large land transactions on behalf of Grubb and Ellis, working with residential developers in San Diego, Riverside and Orange Counties. Sabourin also founded his own company, Co Equity Corporation, a limited partner of a wholly owned subsidiary of California Federal Savings and Loan that offered real estate services to entry level homebuyers. In 2009, he co-founded New American Mortgage and recently co-founded a partnership with CrossCountry Mortgage.
A graduate of California State University, Fullerton, Sabourin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management.
